Birth Doula

Vela Preferred Package:
  • Two 60-minute comprehensive prenatal visits prior to birth. During these visits, we will explore and discuss your birth vision, fears and concerns, develop your birth preferences, discuss useful comfort tools for labor and birth.
  • Available via text/email from date of hire for continuous emotional and informational support to you and your partner (if applicable).
  • 24 hour on-call availability from 38 weeks of your pregnancy.
  • Full presence and support during your labor and birth to create the space you desire.
  • Immediate postpartum support 1 hour after giving birth. The doula will remain with you for 1 hour to assist with and initiate breastfeeding.
  • Once you are from the hospital, the doula will provide one postpartum visit within the first 7-14 days. We will check in with you and see how you are recovering and adjusting. The postpartum visit will also include reviewing your birth, getting feedback, and providing necessary referrals.
Vela Enhanced Package:

All of the above PLUS:

  • The Speedy Run-Down Lamaze childbirth education class.
  • Smartphone photography during and after labor.

Virtual Birth Doula

In accord with our motto “Every Woman is Entitled to Empowering Care”. We make our services available to everyone, no matter your location! Whether you don’t have access to Birth Doulas in your area or you and your partner prefer your birth to be intimate and limit the number of people in attendance, our Virtual Birth Doula services can help support, encourage and guide you.

Virtual Birth Doula package includes:

  • Two 60-minute comprehensive prenatal visits prior to birth. During these visits, we will explore and discuss your birth vision, fears and concerns, develop your birth preferences, discuss useful comfort tools for labor and birth.
  • Available via text/email from 25 weeks for continuous emotional and informational support to you and your partner (if applicable).
  • 24 hour on-call availability from 38 weeks of your pregnancy.
  • Once you are from the hospital, the doula will provide one postpartum visit within the first 7-14 days. We will check in with you and see how you are recovering and adjusting. The postpartum visit will also include reviewing your birth, getting feedback, and providing necessary referrals.

Lamaze Childbirth Education

Lamaze childbirth education class is HIGHLY recommended for parents to learn evidenced-based knowledge to make them informed and prepared.

The Speedy Run-Down Package

During this private class, we will spend 1-2 hours going over Lamaze healthy birth practices. We will also practice Lamaze breathing and relaxation techniques for labor and fear release, and comfort measures. The class setting is personable and allows for us to chat and interact about any birth-related fear or concern that you are carrying.

Fully Comprehensive Childbirth Preparation Package

This package is either a one-day 8-hour intensive workshop OR a 3-day weekend workshop. Classes are empowering, fun, interactive, and tailored to your needs.
