Founder
Hello there! I am Kimberly, the founder of Vela Haven, and I am thrilled that our paths have crossed!
I am a Pediatric Sleep Consultant, Certified Maternal Health Consultant, Certified Doula, Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, and Lamaze Childbirth Educator. Growing up in the Caribbean, I’ve witnessed loved ones receiving little to no birth and postpartum support which led to traumatizing experiences. There are many unknowns when it comes to parenthood, and childbirth, but it is incredibly heartbreaking how little we as women are told about these life changing occurrences before actually experiencing them first-hand.
This encouraged me to divulge into my own research on ways in which individuals could be supported. I chose to become a pediatric sleep consultant and doula because there have been many times in my life that I myself, have felt externalized, and disempowered. Because of this, I am driven to make a difference for all families.

To further encourage the science of therapeutic care, this business offers handmade kosher soy scented candles, therapeutic herbal + crystal candles, and aromatherapy reed diffusers.
